Auditions held at Rivers Casino last September pay off PITTSBURGH—February 1, 2010—A local contestant on The Price is Right made it all the way to the Showcase Showdown—and won! Roberta Casper, of Brookline, was one of three contestants selected from the Pittsburgh auditions hosted at the Rivers Casino in September of last year. From the Pittsburgh auditions, Casper was chosen to appear in The Price is Right’s Los Angeles studio audience. She got the call to "come on down" and won a catamaran on her first bid. She then played for a Ford Mustang in “Lucky Seven” and lost. Her luck turned around when she spun 95 on the first wheel and went on to play the Showcase Showdown. Casper bid on the first showcase and won the “Movie Lover’s Showcase,” which included a home theatre system and a trip to Cannes. “I’m really glad I went down to Rivers Casino that day,” said Casper. “I was actually the 13th person to audition, so I feel really lucky to have been chosen!” Rivers Casino has added to Casper’s jackpot with $50 in free slot play and dinner for four at the Grand View Buffet, on her next visit.
